2019 – On the Watercolour page I commented upon how unforgiving watercolour is and how once mistakes are made they are not easily undone.
In this painting things went badly wrong at the beginning, but with oil paint any mistakes can usually be hidden or completely erased to the point where you would not know. If the paint is still wet you can wipe it off. If it is dry, it can be painted over.
